In business, people are our most valuable commodity.

Culture is the platform upon which you develop the people.

A few years ago, I set out the culture platform that I wanted to build. Here is what I said. I want us to be a business where people are at the centre of everything we do A place where people are treated with respect.

  • I want an environment where people are treated as the most valuable commodity and encouraged to develop and thrive.

  • I want us to be a team that delivers excellence for our clients today and plan innovation for our clients tomorrow.

  • We must be a business where people work collaboratively to deliver beyond our clients expectations, with a client focused view.

  • We must be an agency where creative is a mindset not just a department.

  • Everyone must have each other’s back when they need to and front up when they have to.

Without putting people first we reduce ourselves to a factory where people join, stay a while and go. We create an unequal equations where we take from people but we don't give back.

We must respect and value people openly so that they know that they are respected as people and values as people.

Richard has flair for building and nurturing high performing teams that have efficiency and creativity at the heart of their culture. His energy and appetite for growth and innovation - alongside his humour - creates an infectious environment for transformation. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Richard at Hogarth.
